Indications: The drug is used in young cattle and pigs as an antiviral agent in the complex therapy and prevention of diseases accompanied by a decrease in the general resistance of the body and the development of immune deficiencies (dyspepsia, gastroenteritis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia of various etiologies, underdevelopment of young animals).
Pharmacological properties
The drug belongs to the group of antiviral agents with immunomodulatory effects.
The drug acts in the early stages of viral reproduction and inhibits the fusion of the viral lipid envelope with cell membranes, preventing the penetration of the virus into the cell. The drug has interferon-inducing properties, antioxidant activity, stimulates humoral and cellular immune responses, the phagocytic function of macrophages, increases the body's resistance to viral infections, and reduces the frequency of exacerbations of chronic diseases. The therapeutic activity of the drug in viral diseases is manifested in a decrease in general intoxication and clinical manifestations of the disease, and a reduction in the duration of the course of the disease.
Indications for use
The drug is used in young cattle and pigs as an antiviral agent in the complex therapy and prevention of diseases accompanied by a decrease in the general resistance of the body and the development of immune deficiencies (dyspepsia, gastroenteritis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia of various etiologies, underdevelopment of young animals).
Doses and method of administration
The drug is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly in doses: calves 7.5-10.0 ml / 50 kg body weight, piglets 1.5-2.0 ml / 10 kg body weight
In order to prevent diseases in piglets after weaning, to increase the level of natural resistance of calves and piglets, the drug is administered once a day with an interval of 3 days so that the total number of injections is 3-4. With a therapeutic purpose in gastrointestinal diseases (dyspepsia, gastroenteritis) and diseases of the respiratory system (bronchopneumonia, bronchitis), as a component of complex therapy, the drug is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly in the above doses 1 time per day for 5 days.
Contraindications
The use of the drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to arbidol, liver failure.
Restrictions on the use of products:
- livestock products for human consumption can be used 14 days after the last use of the drug
